Oaxaca Activities

 

Oaxaca offers its guests a wide array of activities to keep busy during their vacation.  Most of the area's activities involve nature in one way or another.  Tours to the nearby archeological sites, mountain biking and hiking tours in the mountains and valleys that surround Oaxaca will satisfy the outdoor types.  There are the pristine beaches and bays on the Pacific Coast that offer great sport fishing and some of México's best surf breaks.  Everywhere you go in the city there are magnificent churches, restored buildings and historical sites that will take you back in time. 

Shopping is another activity that will certainly consume more of your time than you might imagine, until you have witnessed the numerous opportunities available in this captivating city.  Many of the surrounding villages  specialize in a certain craft, a guided tour to one or more of these villages can be a real eye opener.  As a bonus, some village tours can be combined with tours of the many archeological sites.  More than likely your vacation will not be long enough to enjoy many of the interesting things to see and do in and around Oaxaca.  We have done our best to list the many attractions available in Oaxaca.  If we have missed any, please let us know by way of the E-mail link below, we will add it if possible.
